Complexity is increasing. The problems are wicked. Time is of the essence.

What Do We Need?

We Need Change!

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

Big change. Bold change.

True change. Deep change.

Behavioral change.

Mental model change.

We’re-screwed-if-we-don’t change.

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

A new way of understanding.

A new way of looking at problems.

A new way of looking at goals.

A new metric for success.

A new metaphor.

We Need a New Way of Being!

We Need a New Way of Seeing!

We Need a New Way of Being!

Being aware. Being in sync.

Being whole. Being resilient.

Being nascent. Being flexible.

Being adaptive. Being together.

Being spherical.

We Need New Things in New Ways

We need to transition from old world to new world – from old thinking to new thinking – from old models to new models – from old metaphors to new metaphors.

We Need Spherical Collaboration

Spherical Collaboration is a NEW WAY – a new way of getting things done together that disrupts the status quo and reimagines communication and collaboration processes as holistic spheres of co-creative interaction.

Spherical Collaboration transcends barriers of culture, education, language, worldview and generation using a unifying visual metaphor and adaptive vocabulary.

Spherical Collaboration envisions the fundamental elements of communication as a dynamic system in which all interactions are interconnected, interdependent, tensegral and self-organizing.

Spherical Collaboration overcomes fragmented and unsynchronized approaches to working together by creating a visual continuum of concepts, ideas, strategies, goals, processes, assessments.

Spherical Collaboration is a NEW THING – a new thing that uses shape as a quantitative and qualitative metric for evaluating the current condition of the collaboration objectives and the collaboration process itself.

Spherical Collaboration deploys human and technological processes that assist groups in sharing and understanding perspectives as they co-create shared goals and strategies guided by a visual sphere metaphor.

In a Spherical Collaboration participants share their spheres of experience, influence and understanding while working toward a mutually beneficial result, represented conceptually and visually as a dynamic sphere.

We Need a New Way of Working Together

The Collaboration Sphere model visualizes the collaboration using shape as the metric for sensemaking and evaluation. The collaboration begins as a blank sphere. Participants co-create the nodes, sectors, questions and evaluation scale. The stakeholders collectively rate the current condition of the collaboration using shape as the assessment metric.

Spherical Collaboration participants become interconnected, interdependent nodes in the sphere of the collaboration.

During a Spherical Collaboration, participants co-create and evaluate spheres of understanding, meaning, evaluation, actions and outcomes.

Spherical Collaboration is simultaneously personal and communal, localized and distributed, hands-on and virtual.

We Need to See Anew

The Collaboration Sphere model depicts strengths and weaknesses of the influence factors in the system as phase-state snapshots and as dynamic, morphing shapes.

The Spherical Collaboration process integrates with existing models, methods and modes of communication, cooperation and learning by visualizing patterns of interaction and activity.

Spherical Collaboration models and processes comprise a holistic system for fostering greater understanding and promoting more effective, longer-lasting solutions by addressing the problem of outmoded mental models – the problem beneath the problems.

We Need to See the Sphere
